About Mathew Hawkes
Mathew Hawkes is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over a decade of clinical experience. Mathew is a born and bred ‘Stokie’ but studied at the University of Salford and qualified back in 2004. Over the years, Matthew has worked in a wide variety of areas, both clinically and geographically. Having worked in the NHS, occupational health and private practice, Matthew has a wide spectrum of knowledge which he now shares nationwide with the Biomechanics Academy.
Mathew’s clinical interests include biomechanics, acupuncture and exercise prescription. He has a very popular blog, which is all evidence based and has a YouTube channel, which he set up to help patients with their prescribed exercises. Matthew is always trawling for the most up to date evidence and research to implement into clinical practice.
